
Todd Schneider is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience in the field. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University. He is known for bringing a very humanistic approach to counseling which acknowledges the complexities that can occur in life as well as providing the grace in your efforts to navigate them.
Early in his career, Todd worked extensively with young adults and familys providing in-home counseling, forensic assessment, substance abuse counseling and crisis work as well as specialized services for gang recidivism units in the city of Cleveland.
He continued his work with adolescents, adults and families in a variety of settings including hospitals, out-patient and residential programs in the Chicagoland area; specializing in the areas of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems model and substance abuse treatment. He further developed an additional specialty in the area of wilderness therapy, providing experiential counseling in remote areas of the United States and Canada as a Lead Wilderness Therapist and Trainer.
In 2003, Todd moved exclusively into the private sector serving as Clinical Director for an alternative high school as well as a private practitioner and clinical consultant for developing programs in the Northshore of Chicago. He has continued in private practice for the last 15+ years working extensively with adolescents, adults and families providing individual, family and couples counseling as well as intensive short-term trauma work as a Certified Trauma Specialist- ITR Model.
